ZIYAD BUNDHUN
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Ziyad has more than 25 years of corporate finance, private equity, banking, trust services and audit experience. Ziyad brings a unique perspective in deal origination, investment structuring and mergers & acquisitions.
He served the Mauritius-listed Rogers Group as Chief Finance & Investment Executive from 2011 to 2017. Between 2006 and 2011, he led the private equity arm of the Mauritius Commercial Bank as Managing Director of MCB Capital Partners, where he initiated and managed the acquisition of Speedy in France, the greenfield development of a fibre-optics network in Reunion island and the fund’s investment in a Madagascar-based prawn farming project which pioneered the protocol for Bio label of prawns in Europe.
Ziyad qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the United Kingdom and is an avid reader of history, international politics, political and business biographies. He is married to Dilshaad and has two boys.
BHAVISH DOOKAYKA
Principal
Bhavish has, over the years, acquired extensive and valuable experience in the legal, global business, international taxation and capital market arena. He established affable working relationships with all stakeholders in the foregoing sectors. His academic background, blended with wealth of professional experience gained, enables him to provide optimum capital market advisory solutions.
He served as Senior Analyst for the first licensed Corporate Finance Firm in Mauritius where he was responsible for legal drafting and listing. Concurrently, he was also responsible for the implementation and compliance of FATCA and CRS for one of the leading trust services companies in Mauritius. Bhavish began his career at the Attorney General’s Office and participated in the revision and publishing of the first volume of Subsidiary Legislation in the country.
Bhavish is a holder of a Bachelor of Laws –LLB (Hons) degree. He also followed the Law Practitioners Vocational Course. He is an associate member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors (MIoD) and also a Board Member of the Training and Employment of Disabled Persons Board (TEDPB) under the aegis of the Ministry of Social Security, National Solidarity and Reform Institutions.
KAVIRAJ PATHER
Senior Advisor
Kaviraj has more than 10 years’ experience in strategic analysis & planning, business intelligence, private equity, business facilitation and entrepreneurship development. Since 2006, he has collaborated with major listed Mauritian companies, including the MCB Group and Constance Hotels & Resorts, and has held managerial positions at the Rogers Group and Lux Resorts.
In 2016-2017, he played a prominent role, as External Consultant, in the development of the “2017-2026 Master Plan for the SME Sector in Mauritius”, an exercise commissioned by the Ministry of Business, Enterprise and Cooperatives.
Kaviraj is a former academic scholar of the French government. He completed a two-year “Classe préparatoire aux Grandes Ecoles de Commerce” prior to obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Management, a Diplôme Grande Ecole/Master in Management and a Master of Science in European Business from the EDHEC Business School, France. He also completed an executive programme in strategy at INSEAD.
He has published more than 25 articles on business and economic topics. Kaviraj is the Chairman of the Committee on Industrialisation at the Policy Forum, a think tank focused on the economic development of Mauritius.
